Jena, July 2019: asphericon utilizes the first W3+ Rhine Valley Fair/Convention as a platform for the asphericon ACADEMY workshop series on aspheres, freeforms and metrology/manufacturing. In addition, the technology leader from Jena will present new products in the field of freeforms and BeamTuning at the accompanying exhibition. Established in Central Hessen as a permanent fixture for precision technologies, the W3+ will expand into the Rhine Valley in September. The two-day industry event for mechanics, optics and electronics will be framed by talks and specialist seminars.
The W3+ Fair/Convention has been firmly anchored in Wetzlar/Mittelhessen since 2014 as an industry meeting for companies, technical developers, users and young professionals and will take place twice in 2019. The second and new venue is the Technology Hub Rhine Valley in the four-corner section of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. National and international companies from precision engineering, precision mechanics, optics and electronics will be presenting themselves on September 18th and 19th, 2019 in Dornbirn at their exhibition booths, and with keynote talks and seminars.
We are proud to offer the “asphericon ACADEMY” as part of the program. VP Strategy & Innovation, Dr. Ulrike Fuchs, will give an overview of current technologies and trends in four practice-oriented workshops. The topics will cover optical design, manufacturing and metrology for applications with aspheres and freeforms. Based on selected practical examples, Dr. Fuchs will discuss manufacturing of highly challenging optical elements. Book and combine the workshops to suit your visit to the W3+! The admission to the trade show is included in the workshop ticket.
