asphericons a|AspheriColl now also available for the spectrum 350 - 405 nm
Jena, November 2020: The technology leader for aspheric components and systems extends its modular beam expanding and beam shaping system BeamTuning by a UV fiber collimator. The new a|AspheriColl 355 nm enables perfect light guidance from FC/PC patch fibers in the UV range and can be used with both BeamTuning and non-system components to meet any desired application. The a|AspheriColl UV generates, like all fiber collimators from asphericon, a diffraction limited wavefront.
The a|AspheriColl 355 nm convinces in the collimation of laser beams with its excellent optical quality and compact design. Due to the modular approach and a special mounting concept, the collimator, like all BeamTuning products, is easy to screw together and can be used without further adjustment. This is accompanied by the uncomplicated integration into existing intra- and cross-system set-ups. Suitable adapters are also available from asphericon.
"Like the existing product versions, the new a|AspheriColl 355 nm can be used flexibly, covers all wavelengths from 350 to 405 nm and fits into any standard holder.", explains BeamTuning expert Sabrina Matthias. "The fiber collimator/coupler completes our BeamTuning product line in the UV range. It can be used, for example, with a|BeamExpanders for beam expansion, with the a|TopShape for beam shaping, and also with external components for applications in the UV range," adds asphericon's BeamTuning expert on the flexible usage possibilities.
