Vice President Strategy & Innovation, asphericon GmbH

After joining asphericon in 2010 Dr. Ulrike Fuchs focused early on linking manufacturing of aspheres and metrology with questions in optical design. With her team she also works on concepts that allow better prediction of system performance during optical design and tolerancing processes. Recently, great emphasis is put on transferring those ideas to freeform optics. As Vice President Strategy & Innovation she now coordinates all R&D activities at asphericon as well as strategic product development. She has already been able to register 6 patent families and is the inaugural winner of the Kevin P. Thompson Optical Design Innovator Award. Furthermore, she has been working as an Associated Editor for Optics Express since April 2018 and is the author of more than 60 publications. She holds a doctorate in physics from the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena.


Head of Marketing, asphericon GmbH

Thomas Hegenbart studied economics at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena and holds a PhD in marketing. After joining in 2009, he was responsible for building up the coating department as well as the development and evolution of asphericon’s brand and product portfolio. As Head of Marketing he coordinates the all national and international marketing activities and accompanies the strategic positioning of the company.


Marketing Manager, asphericon GmbH

As a graduate in communication science with experience in HR marketing and event management, Anna Polinski joined asphericon in 2016. In her role as a Senior Marketing Manager, she is in charge of the entire online marketing. She is responsible for the content and strategic direction of the company’s website and social media activities, as well as SEO/SEA marketing. Furthermore, she manages the graphic design, writes (blog) posts and press releases and supports corporate communications with photo and video coverage.
